Howard/Suamico Lions Club Diabetes Awareness - March 25, 2015

The Howard/Suamico Lions Club will be serving the community by holding a diabetes awareness event at Olson’s Piggly Wiggly on Lineville Road in Howard.  The event will be held on Wednesday, March 25th from 10:00AM until 4:00PM

According to John Myers, club president, “This is a totally free service event where we share information and hand out brochures and videos with information on diabetes awareness and prevention to shoppers.  We also provide free diabetes self-screening bookmarks.

Diabetes awareness, along with eye screening and summer camp for children with disabilities are a few of the community service projects being addressed by the Howard/Suamico Lions Club.  Diabetes affects 480,000 adults, adolescence and youth in Wisconsin and over 26 million in the United States.

The Howard/Suamico Lions club meets on the first and third Tuesday of every month at 6:00PM at the Safari Steakhouse.  Lions are a group of men and women who identify needs within the community and work together to fulfill those needs.  For more information to get involved with the Howard/Suamico Lions Club, please contact John Myers at (920) 434-8798.  For more info visit our website.

Welcome to the HSBPA!

The HSBPA publishes the free Community Bulletin newspaper each month. We also offer monthly entertaining and informative networking opportunities for our members. A business must be located in Howard or Suamico to be a member of the HSBPA. Currently we have more than 200 members in the association with more joining each month.

The HSBPA has always been involved in giving back to the communities we serve. We hold fundraisers, give donations to not-for-profit organizations and hold community events on a regular basis. In the past years we gave several thousand dollars in scholarships to deserving Bayport High School students. We also partnered with educational, religious and civic organizations to co-sponsor a concert, movie night and a nationally renowned futurist speaker.
