St. John the Baptist’s Blessfest is a joyful event where faith, fellowship, and festivities blend harmoniously. What started off during the pandemic as a way to get people back together and thinking positively about all the blessings in their lives, has now turned into an annual picnic for St. John the Baptist Catholic Parish.
The Blessfest Picnic is not just any community event — it is a testament to the strength of faith and the spirit of togetherness in our community. This picnic brings together parishioners, school families, and friends from the surrounding community and city of Green Bay. It serves as a moment of communion where people of all ages come to celebrate their blessings!
Central to Blessfest, is an array of delicious food, grilled and served up by the Knights of Columbus Council 6279.
The Catholic Woman/Christian Mothers of St. John’s fill tables and tables with baked goods, and the SJB Booster Club has plenty of ice-cold beverages to go around.
Beyond the delicious food, Blessfest offers a variety of activities to engage participants of all ages. Children revel in carnival games and face painting, while teens and adults partake in friendly competition and socialization.
Everyone is welcome to take a chance on raffle baskets and silent auction items. A highlight of the event is often our Big Cash Raffle — with $5,000 of prizes awarded.
With all of the food, fellowship, and fun — the goal is to strengthen the bonds within the community and instill gratitude. Blessfest provides an opportunity for neighbors to reconnect, newcomers to be welcomed, and for memories to be created.
As each year passes, Blessfest continues to evolve while maintaining its essence of faith, community, and blessings. This event is made possible with the help of many parish committees, ministries, and countless volunteers who are truly the hands and feet of Christ.
