Hunter Schultz never knew about or believed in chiropractic until his senior year of high school when he suffered a stress fracture in his left foot playing basketball six weeks before the end of the season. The medical doctor took x-rays and put him in a boot and crutches and said he would be out for 6 weeks – no exception. Hunter’s dream of playing in the State Tournament was crushed. He remembers lying in bed that night crying and defeated – he was devastated.

Dr. Hunter Schultz
As Hunter lay there, he concluded that he could not accept that fate. So, he forgot about his opinion about chiropractors, and went to one for a second opinion. The chiropractor did a thorough consultation, a detailed exam, and took x-rays of his spine. Hunter was blown away by the knowledge he had. The doctor beautifully explained to him how the brain controls the body through the spinal cord system and how his body could heal if only there was no interference to the spinal cord and nerves.
This was new to Hunter, but it immediately made sense. The chiropractor thought he could get back sooner if I followed his plan, so Hunter did. He worked on Hunter almost every day and Hunter could feel his strength coming back into his foot. Hunter also started noticing he was sleeping better, his digestion was better, and he had more energy.
Hunter went back to the medical doctor two weeks later for a follow up, and they were in disbelief at how quickly his foot was healing. He was back playing basketball in 2.5 weeks thanks to chiropractic improving his body’s ability to heal itself. Fueled by new hope and excitement, Hunter led his team to the State Tournament down in Madison, WI.
It was a Cinderella story at its finest. Hunter then knew he wanted to become a chiropractor and dedicate his life to giving people their health and hope back, just like that chiropractor gave him. Hunter graduated near the top of his class from Marian University with a bachelor’s degree in biology. He then moved to St. Louis, Missouri to Logan College of Chiropractic where he spent 3.5 years, 4,980 credit hours, and graduated in the top percentile of his class.
Dr. Hunter Schultz then opened 920 Chiropractic Health & Injury Care in Howard to give people their health and hope back. The practice sees day old babies all the way up to 80-year-old grandmas and everything in between.
