You may have heard it said there are three seasons in Wisconsin: winter, hunting & road construction. But local townsfolk know there is a fourth season as well – Auction Season. St. John the Baptist School in Howard is excited to announce their annual auction will be held at Rock Garden on Friday, March 4th, 2022. Doors open at 5:00 p.m. Before you bite into that next cheese curd, go mark this on your calendar and read on for everything you need to know.
This year’s theme, ‘An Old Fashioned Auction’, will celebrate all-things-Wisconsin. With hundreds of basket items up for bid, there is certain to be something for everyone – spa baskets, cooking baskets, kids’ summer adventures, axe-throwing, wine tasting, autographed Green Bay Packer items and much more. Plus an exciting in-person live auction including twenty special items and experiences. Imagine a vacation escape, private tour of Lambeau, and an in-home chef-prepared dinner party, or for those more adventurous, an Amazing Race Adventure or Ski Hill package, just to name a few. These items will go faster than you can say supper club so let’s make sure you’re ready, ‘ya know’?
For details on how to register to attend, visit www.sjbauction.com. Tickets are $30.00 per person if purchased in advance no later than February 21st, or $40.00 per person thereafter. Wisconsinites like to save a buck so don’t delay. By attending in-person you will experience the bidding action right before your eyes, not to mention bucket raffles, games, food, music and more. For those who are unable to attend in-person, or just can’t pull themselves away from that ice-fishing pole, there will be remote online bidding available when the event gets closer.
Also Big Raffle Tickets are available in which only 300 will be sold for a grand prize of $10,000 and additional $1,000 and $500 winners. That will buy a whole lot of hunting gear and some old fashioned mix to celebrate after you score that thirty-pointer.
Winners will be drawn at 10:00 p.m. at the event, but don’t worry, you can still win even if you’re stuck listening to Uncle Joe’s fishing tales and just can’t get away. Raffle ticket details can be found at www.sjbauction.com.
Also, St. John the Baptist School is still collecting donations and sponsors so if this is up your bowling alley, please don’t delay. Random items such as candles, lotions, wine, beer, tools, books, blanket throws, pillows, games, home décor and more make great donations, as do full themed baskets or business tours, and of course, cash is king. New, unused items only please.
