The Bay Port FFA Alumni/Booster Club will be hosting an open house on Monday,  October 9th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m   for all members of the community to showcase Bay Port’s fast growing, hands-on agriculture department and FFA at Bay Port High School. They invite the entire community and past students to see what is happening in their department.

This open house will showcase the technology, resources, and experiences that students encounter during the school year.  Meet their two agriculture teachers, learn about their Aquaculture System where they raise over 400 Yellow Perch, their Hydroponic System where they grow over 90 heads of lettuce a week all school year, their greenhouse filled with seasonal plants, all of their animal species and a few of the students enrolled in the courses. Food and beverages will be provided, entry is free of cost.

The Alumni is a club with members that are interested in supporting the growing program of FFA. Future Farmers of America (FFA)  is a non profit student organization that builds character, work ethic, and networking skills. The alumni members strive to support students financially as they are being prepared for and experiencing  a variety of careers and other situations. Follow them on facebook for more event details.   If you have any questions, contact Ms. Barnes at (920) 662-7034.
