On Monday, June 14th from 1:00 to 6:00 p.m. there will be a blood drive at the Howard Village Hall located at 2456 Glendale Avenue. This is the second annual blood drive held in memory of Nicole Ekberg.

Nicole received many blood and platelet transfusions during her 8 year battle with Aplastic Anemia, a rare bone marrow failure disease.

These transfusions helped her live her life as normal as possible. Although she needed a bone marrow transplant she never found her perfect match on the bone marrow registry.

Nicole earned her angel wings on May 9th, 2018 at the age of 30. Nicole’s family would like to pay this forward by holding these blood drives.
Appointments are appreciated and can be made in advance at www.redcross.org and find this blood drive by either typing “NicoleEk”, or by the date of June 14th, or by the zip code 54313. Hope to see you there.
