There has been a flurry of activity at the Howard Commons Activity Complex as they prepare for the summer season. The rollerskating rink is now open for the season. Until school is out, the rink will be open Fridays from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m., Saturdays Noon to 9:00 p.m. and Sundays from Noon to 5:00 p.m. You are welcome to bring your own skates or rollerblades; rentals are available for $3.00 per pair.
The Biergarten at the Howard Commons Activity Complex is undergoing some surface renovations and is on track to be ready for their first live entertainment event on May 16th. In the meantime, the Biergarten has been temporarily relocated to the North side of the rink.
The portable trailer features six local brews on tap, as well as a variety of canned options. Wine, hard seltzer and cider are also available.
The Splash Pad will be opened in time for Memorial Day weekend and the Amphitheater is ready to host the first band of the season on May 18th.
The Howard Commons Activity Complex is still seeking vendors for the Farmers Market that will be held on Monday evenings from June through September under the Arnold & Gloria Schmidt Pavilion.
