The Howard-Suamico School District is asking residents to consider a referendum question on the   April 3, 2018 ballot to address operational funding needs.

The referendum, if approved, would allow the District to reduce class sizes, enhance employee compensation, and maintain safe facilities.

In response to guidance from the Community Task Force and three stakeholder surveys, the Board placed a five-year end date on the referendum. Also, the tax levy impact of the referendum would be neutral.

Throughout the duration of the referendum, the HSSD portion of property taxes would be no higher than $9.19 per $1,000 of property value, the current levy rate of the last three years.
