Kim’s Tae Kwon Do Center, Inc. recently held a customer appreciation dinner that included an action packed demonstration and fundraiser. The demonstration included children and women’s self-defense using their voice, attacks, takedowns, and board and brick breaking to music. Students executed great power, technique and timing.
The fundraiser was for a mission in Lima, Peru to help the poor with food, shelter, and medical needs. Donations went to “Daughters of Our Lady of the Pieta”. Sister Carla is a member of this order and a leader of the mission.
Sister Carla visits Green Bay on her yearly retreat and attends Master Penny Duggan’s Self-Defense Class. Over the years they have developed a great friendship which led to the school raising $3,660.00 through 50/50 raffles, silent auctions and donations.
