Savoye Salon Spa

Q&A’s with Michell Bartlein, Savoye Salon Spa

Michell Bartlein

What’s a brief description of your business? How long have you been in business?
Savoye Salon Spa has been owned by Michell Bartlein since 2012. It is an Aveda Lifestyle salon carrying and using only Aveda professional products which are environmentally friendly and naturally derived. We offer a high end salon experience that welcomes all who enjoy haircuts, haircolors, facials, body waxing, lashes, or hair styles. We are a Team based salon which puts a high emphasis on company culture allowing our team to create the best customer experience, community involvement, and also incredible career growth.

What is your company’s Mission Statement?
Our mission is to lift each other up personally and professionally to create a chain of good in the community and beyond.

What’s an interesting fact about your business the community may not know?
We are very modest with our achievements and our contributions to organizations because we simply love doing good in the world. Yet we are super proud of being named recently as a Modern Salon Top 200 salon in the U.S.

What do you enjoy about being involved in HSBPA?
Being part of the HSBPA is a great networking organization when used to its fullest potential. It’s fun being engaged in their events and meeting other business leaders in our community!

Favorite product/service you offer at your business?
That’s a hard one to answer because I want to say all of them. I will narrow it down to one of our various color services because it’s fun to transform and enhance someone’s look with hair color! The way it can make someone feel amazing feels like a superpower!

How can people keep up-to-date with what’s going on with your business?
Social media and getting on our mailing list that is offered on our website. Instagram: @savoyesalonspa, Facebook: Savoye Salon Spa or www.savoyesalonspa.com.

Fun fact about you that may surprise others?
I am kind of a book nerd, I love to read, research, learn, and write. My original career path was to be a criminal lawyer until life through a curveball and took me down the artistic road of hairdressing. Irony is that being a hairdresser has been the greatest treasure of learning things in every capacity! I hope to write an inspirational book from it all.

Favorite inspirational quote?
“Choose courage over comfort, whole hearts over armor, and choose the great adventure of being brave and afraid at the exact same time.” Brene Brown

What inspired you to have your business in Howard-Suamico?
I love what our community offers, our school district, and the support that rallies behind each other. I felt bringing my business to the area created more careers and service options to our growing community. It also brought the opportunity to have an avenue to help others.

When you’re not working, where do you enjoy spending time in Howard-Suamico?
I love enjoying fine dines at the great establishments in our community and running or walking on the many nature paths we have.

Health In Motion Chiropractic

Q&A’s with Dr. Dylan Wenzel, Health In Motion Chiropractic

Dr. Dylan Wenzel

What’s a brief description of your business? How long have you been in business?
Health In Motion Chiropractic is a chiropractic office that offers an array of natural treatments to help our patient’s primarily with musculoskeletal aliments. Beyond providing affordable and quality chiropractic care to the community, our office offers services like massage therapy, DOT physicals, nutritional supplementation and rehabilitative programs tailored to accommodate a multifaceted approach to natural healthcare. Our business was established in April of 2020 and has been serving our community for nearly 2.5 years. Most would say starting a business in the midst of a global pandemic is either unlucky or absurd; however, our passion to help people has carried us this far and certainly shows in the services we offer.

What is your company’s Mission Statement?
Our mission statement is as follows: “To build prosperous relationships and achieve optimal health for all our practice members within our community and ultimately provide the highest quality health care experience.” Our intentions when starting Health In Motion Chiropractic was to build a business to serve the community selflessly by providing affordable and quality treatment options, health education, community service and expertise.

What’s a brief description of your business? How long have you been in business?
Our business has been a proud member of the HSBPA for 2 years and a board member for the last year. I think we most enjoy the community events that the HSPBA put on such as the Casino Night. Those type of events not only get the community together for an exciting event but also help raise money for a great cause. The tight knit group of the committee board is something we enjoy being a part of as well because we ultimately want to help our community and all of its businesses grow together by offering advertising options, community engagement and fundraising for good causes.

Favorite product/service you offer at your business?
Being chiropractors and business owners, our favorite service is to no surprise, chiropractic care. However, to be more specific, our office has been lucky enough to work with the VA hospital which allows us to treat and care for veterans which has been a rewarding experience to care for those that served our country. In addition to chiropractic care, we have had a great opportunity to partner with Tammy Jeppeson (Owner of B Massaged) who is now in our office and performs all of our massage therapy needs for our patient’s and veterans.

How can people keep up-to-date with what’s going on with your business?
