NV Technologies Fire & Security
Q&A’s with Amy Cote’, President
What’s a brief description of your business? How long have you been in business?
NV Technologies Fire & Security designs, installs, and maintains residential and commercial fire and security alarm systems throughout Wisconsin since 2012. We specialize in testing alarm, sprinkler, extinguisher and suppression systems and providing alarm monitoring services.
What is your business’ mission statement?
To consistently exceed customer expectations by delivering innovative technology solutions and code compliant documentation.
What’s an interesting fact about your business the community may not know?
NV Tech is owned by a father and daughter team who have lived in Suamico since 2000. Steve’s passion for security (should have been a Police Officer), and Amy’s fire code knowledge make them a strong duo. Additional family who make the business thrive are Bryton & Tim Gulbrand & Grandma Nancy.
What is a favorite product or service that you offer at your business?
Steve’s favorite quote is “Seeing is Believing” and would say that you are absolutely crazy if you don’t have cameras for your home and/or business. NV Tech’s customers love the ability to see their home from an app on their phone when they’re away. It is so cost effective and worth the investment.
What do you enjoy about being involved in HSBPA?
We love being apart of our community. My three kids attend Howard Suamico School District, and we enjoy working with local community members who help shape and make this such a wonderful place to both live and work. The majority of our employees also live here.
How can people keep up-to-date with what’s going on with your business?
People can stay up to date by following us on Facebook. Can always stop in and say hello. We love to provide tours of our office which includes demos of camera, fire alarm, and access control systems. This way you can get a feel of what you are getting before you purchase and have it installed!
What is a fun fact about yourself that may surprise others?
A fun fact is that I am a true local and love Howard-Suamico. I Graduated from Bay Port, went to St. Norbert College, worked at A&A Fire and Security in Howard for 10 years prior to NV Technologies Fire & Security. We moved away to Pewaukee for my Husband’s job, but choose to come back to Suamico!
What is your favorite inspirational quote?
Money grows on trees. You just need to wake up in the morning shake the tree for it to fall off. Many people stare at it hoping it will fall off for them.
What inspired you to have your business in Howard-Suamico?
This is our hometown. Both of our family’s live and love it here. We also own Velp Ave Storage where we have 150 storage units, Avenue Bar, and have tenants who just opened their businesses up; “Rebel Eddie’s” which is a detail shop, and “Bullfrog Spas” which provide saunas and hot tubs.
When you’re not working, where do you enjoy spending time in Howard-Suamico?
We love taking our UTV and going to Spork on the weekends for breakfast. It has become our family tradition. We also love dining out at all of the restaurants; Four Way, River’s Bend, River Street Pier, and Chives. We also love boating and spending time at Longtail.

Our mission statement is as follows: “To build prosperous relationships and achieve optimal health for all our practice members within our community and ultimately provide the highest quality health care experience.” Our intentions when starting Health In Motion Chiropractic was to build a business to serve the community selflessly by providing affordable and quality treatment options, health education, community service and expertise.
What’s a brief description of your business? How long have you been in business?
Our business has been a proud member of the HSBPA for 2 years and a board member for the last year. I think we most enjoy the community events that the HSPBA put on such as the Casino Night. Those type of events not only get the community together for an exciting event but also help raise money for a great cause. The tight knit group of the committee board is something we enjoy being a part of as well because we ultimately want to help our community and all of its businesses grow together by offering advertising options, community engagement and fundraising for good causes.

Being chiropractors and business owners, our favorite service is to no surprise, chiropractic care. However, to be more specific, our office has been lucky enough to work with the VA hospital which allows us to treat and care for veterans which has been a rewarding experience to care for those that served our country. In addition to chiropractic care, we have had a great opportunity to partner with Tammy Jeppeson (Owner of B Massaged) who is now in our office and performs all of our massage therapy needs for our patient’s and veterans.
