The Village of Suamico Hometown Heroes Banner Program is a living tribute created for the community to recognize and honor our Veterans who are serving or are veterans who have served our country in the United States Armed Forces. To qualify, a Veteran, living or deceased, must have lived in the Town/Village of Suamico at some point in his or her life.
The banner will be 24” x 48” heavy vinyl, printed the same on both sides, and will display the service person’s photograph, include their full name, branch of the Military and the era of service such as WWI, WWII, Vietnam, etc.
Banners will be displayed annually from Memorial Day to Veterans Day either on village-owned light poles in Historic Downtown Suamico or at the Municipal Services Center. Banners will be removed and stored until the same period in the following year at which time they will be redisplayed. The 2024/2025 program will end Veterans Day 2025, and a new Program will be considered for 2026. At the conclusion of each program all banners will be returned to the individual who submitted the initial application. A new banner is required for each program.
Each banner requires the Hometown Hero form to be filled out, a photograph of the Hero in uniform and a payment of $135.00 for each banner. For additional information, visit www.suamico.org.
