Beam and Board LLC reclaimed lumber: “Vintage elements for a contemporary lifestyle”, the perfect way for anyone to bring warmth and history into any space big or small. Starting in 2008 as a hobby providing barnwood accent walls for close friends. This hobby’s quick demand led to establishing Beam and Board LLC. Which is now the Midwest’s largest supplier of reclaimed lumber with over two million board feet.
Beam and Board LLC sources materials from barns and aged structures within the state of Wisconsin. Averaging thirty-five structures a year, the material is carefully disassembled by a full-time deconstruction crew, then inventoried.
Located at 1125 N. Military Avenue in Howard, many people drive by without realizing the hidden and fully stocked eight-acre yard. As impressive as Beam and Board LLC’s yard is — the showroom’s charm has an incredible array of custom handcrafted furniture, epoxy builds, cladding, mantels and beams. Expanding to one-of-a-kind lighting, individual boards and urban cut materials for woodworkers of all levels.
The experienced sales associates are passionate about preserving the past while creating sustainable furniture. When a custom project comes in they work closely with the master craftsmen, hand selecting each board for its unique characteristics. The desired aged patina of 100-year-old saw marks or even older hand-hewn markings, cracking and imperfect knots are something only time can create. They proudly finish each piece to celebrate the beauty of reclaimed wood, infusing any space with a unique treasure.
Aside from their custom creations, Beam and Board LLC also functions as a woodworker’s second shop. By providing custom cutting, planning, sanding, kiln drying and more.
Customers are able to bring in their own barn boards, beams, or logs and get ready-to-use lumber or handcrafted furniture made.
