Design a la mode is one of the many businesses that you will find at Vickery Village.
There are some big changes in the historic Vickery Village area located on Riverside Drive in Suamico. New businesses have opened, existing business are thriving and new buildings have gone up. The area will hold a Grand Opening Event the week of February 19th through 24th with an evening event on Thursday, February 22. A large prize package worth over $1,500 will be awarded to one lucky attendee.
The area has always been beautiful and quaint, full of Suamico lumber and fishing industry history. Until recently, the area has remained status quo for the past 20 years. Residents and businesses alike are excited about the new life breathed into the one of a kind area.
Village Mane Salon occupies the Weed Mill Inn and has expanded to add two more stylists. They house 6 stylists, all with many years of experience. Village Mane also offers many varieties of hair care products and enjoy hosting bridal parties for that special day. They are open Monday through Saturday year-round. The welcoming, unique atmosphere is like no other salon in the Green Bay area.
Paramount Performance Physical Therapy and Performance Training is new to the area and resides in the Old Town Hall. Paramount operates as a direct access therapy clinic which means people don’t need a referral. Dr. Bryan Schwebke, founder, states “We want to be the go to source for people when it comes to overuse injuries, aches or pains or whatever. If we can’t help you, we’ll point you in the direction you should go.” They also offer movement training which helps clients either get in better shape and athletes meet their goals.
Lea’s Boutique and Wildlife Classics has been a Vickery Village shop for the past 20 years. The “boutique” was added a few years ago and features unique clothing, hats and accessories. Lea’s also offers gift items, Packer memorabilia, limited edition art prints and custom framing. Lea’s Boutique and Wildlife Classics is located in the Depot building.
Willow Clothing Company recently opened right next door to Spork. This new shop has been busy since the day the doors opened selling out of items the day they go on the racks! Willow is geared toward comfortable, casual and affordable women’s clothing that can be worn every day. You will find unique tops, soft leggings, comfortable jeans, locally made jewelry and other accessories. New items are added weekly. Willow Clothing Company is quickly becoming a destination spot.
Design a la mode has been in the Vickery Village area since 2006. They have recently expanded and moved for the third time. Design a la mode now resides in the newest building to the area and houses Grey Dog Textile Co. (a sister company) inside. Interior design services are offered for projects of all sizes. That’s not all though! Custom furniture, window treatments and blinds, rugs, lighting, artwork and accessories can all be found in abundance at the newly expanded store. Gift items, jewelry and gift certificates are also available. A bridal registry is also new to design a la mode’s offerings.
Tile and Stone Gallery will be the newest addition to the area. With a planned opening in February, they will participate in the Grand Opening event and anxiously awaits the residents of the area. For Tile and Stone Gallery, this is a second location in addition to their DePere store. They are the areas only flooring design center specializing solely in hard surfaces. Whether you are looking for high-end “wow” or everyday durability, Tile and Stone Gallery’s team will source the right product for your needs and budget. They are a full-service store offering design, extensive product options and highly detailed installation service. Tile and Stone Gallery is located in the new building at the corner of Riverside and Side street, next to design a la mode.
Additional businesses in the historic area consist of Ashtanga Yoga Green Bay, Spork, Riverside Engineering, Chives Restaurant, Fourway Bar and Grill and Suamico Garage. The variety of professional, service, retail and food options make this a one stop, extraordinary community unlike any other. A bicycle/walking path will also be added this spring.
