The 4th annual Power Of Dance Showcase benefiting the Giving Tree Food Pantry was a huge success. On November 10th the Power Of Dance All Star Teams put on a free show at Bay Port High School to kick off their competition season.
Nine routines were showcased featuring dancers ages 5 through 17 in the genres of pom, hip hop, jazz, lyrical and contemporary. Through food donations the studio was able to collect just under 1500 pounds of food for the Giving Tree Food Pantry.
Parent and dancer volunteers from both the competition and recreational program then helped sort the food and stock the pantry shelves days later. Thank you to everyone who helped make the Showcase such a huge success including the 600 spectators that came out to support the teams.
