The 2022 Howard Suamico Optimist Scholarship in the amount of $2,000 has been awarded to Bay Port senior Madison Larscheid.
Madison will be attending the University of Wisconsin Green Bay. Her field of study will be in Animal Biology and Business. Madison has a passion to do work with animal shelters. Over her high school career, she has been involved in numerous volunteer activities through the Youth Service Learning Program.
Madison accumulated over 312 volunteer hours of community service. Other accomplishments, a member of the Forensics Team, German Club, Band, Color Guard, Journalism, National Honor Society, and Future Farmers of America.

The Howard Suamico Optimist Club was chartered in 1973, it has been a major influence in the development of the Howard Suamico Community. The organization hasa positive approach and outlook for our commitment to creating a more optimistic future for our youth. This is what differentiates the Optimist Club from other volunteer organizations.
