Robert Messer, President of the Green Bay Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #2 along with twelve other members of the Fraternal Order of Police, a presented a $1,500 check to the Jerry Parins Cruise for Cancer Foundation, during the Packerland Harley’s Owner Group meeting held at Vandervest Harley-Davidson. The money was raised from a Fishing Tournament that was sponsored by the Fraternal Order of Police.
The Fraternal Order of Police, is the world’s largest organization of Police with over 373,000 members. The Green Bay FOP Lodge #2 currently has over 575 members from over 15 agencies in Northeast Wisconsin, and is one of the largest lodges in the state. They operate in two basic fundamental principles, the first is to support programs and charities that foster a positive interaction between officers and the public. The second is to promote professionalism, and address issues and concerns that improve the safety and quality of life for officers and their families.
Jerry Parins is a retired Green Bay Police Officer and is also a member of the Fraternal Order of Police. Jerry Parins is the founder of the Jerry Parins “Cruise for Cancer Foundation” along with Vandervest Harley-Davidson and the Packerland (HOG) Harley’s Owners Group for 21 years.
