It is the goal of the Howard-Suamico Lions Club to serve their community through fundraising to support projects that help enrich the quality of life for all citizens of our community. Therefore, it is also part on the mission of the Howard-Suamico Lions Club to recognize those people who have made significant contributions to the community.
Recognition of such contributions not only honors such individuals, but helps serve as an example for others to follow as we attempt to develop a culture of service within our community. This award fits the motto of Lions members everywhere, “We Serve”.
The Howard-Suamico Lions Community Service Award is to be presented annually to a resident of Howard-Suamico who has helped enrich the quality of life in our community through a pattern of significant contributions. These contributions can be in the form of volunteerism, activity in community organizations, monetary donations to community causes, and organizing community events.
The goal of the Lions Community Service Award is to highlight the contributions of people who have helped make Howard-Suamico and attractive and nourishing place to live and raise a family.
