Winning at Competition is nothing new to the Power Of Dance. This year alone, the POD has already taken home countless first-place finishes including six national champion titles and four bids to the Dance Worlds.
However, nothing tops being named as the studio with the best sportsmanship and overall spirit — especially when that honor is voted on by all competing teams and competition staff. The Power Of Dance made history this year by earning this honor not once but two years in a row — the first studio to ever do it.
The Andrew Lawrence Spirit and Sportsmanship award is given out at DX Dance Nationals and is stressed all weekend as the most prestigious award a studio can earn. It is voted on by all competing teams, event staff, and the Lawrence family. The Power Of Dance is so proud of their athletes and coaches for not only their amazing talent but also for the support they give each other and competing teams, their humility, and their generous spirit.
