If you’re 11 or older and don’t know what to do this summer, check out these opportunities at the Y. Register for one or more weeks of your choice.
YMCA Teen Adventure Program (Ages 11-14)
Great America, Noah’s Ark, Quarry Beach Adventure Park, Milwaukee Zoo, Urban Battlefield, Badger Sports Park… and the list goes on. If you have a child between the ages of 11 to 14, you don’t want them to miss out on all the adventures at the YMCA Teen Adventure Program. The program is held at Jackson Elementary School, located on Green Bay’s west side. Program hours are 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Each week has a different theme and field trip. There’s adventure activities, career exploration, volunteering, mini trips, swimming and so much more to explore.
YMCA KIDS Camp Teen Leadership (Ages 11+)
YMCA’s urban day camp, KIDS Camp, is located right at the West Side YMCA. Children ages 11 and older can participate in a teen leadership program and learn vital leadership skills and techniques to last a lifetime. During the week as a Junior Counselor (JC) you’ll learn how to lead a group of campers, teach arts & crafts and games and work in a group with your fellow JC’s. Camp runs from 8:45 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. Before and after care is also offered. Limited openings remain for the summer.
