Suamico United Methodist Church broke ground for their new sanctuary on Sunday, September 23rd.
Suamico United Methodist Church has been a vital part of the Suamico community for over 130 years. You may known it as the “little white church” at the intersection of Riverside and Lakeview Drive. The little white church has a rich history. Some of its features are large pillars, red front entry doors and beautiful stained glass windows.
Seventeen years ago, the Suamico congregation initiated a building project. In phase one of the project, a new education, fellowship and administrative building was constructed on the church campus. The new sanctuary represents phase two of that building project. The new sanctuary will feature a more modern AV system as well as, flexible seating for those with disabilities and families.
Rev. Jerry Cho leads worship services each Sunday at 8:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. with Sunday school and fellowship at 9:15 a.m. In addition, it has vibrant senior, youth and college age programs, along with many community outreach programs. The congregation is active in the Ecumenical Partnership on Housing, Friends of Patricia, Booyah, The Greater Green Bay Youth Ministry, Seasoned Seniors and much more. Suamico United Methodist Church is located at 3266 Lakeview Drive in Suamico.
