Congratulations goes out to John Edwards from LaCrosse, WI who was the lucky winner of the “Tailgator” customized Harley by Vandervest Harley-Davidson.

Raffle tickets were sold by Vandervest employees and Packerland HOG Chapter Members.
Proceeds from the raffle raised $8,000 which will be donated to the “Jerry Parins” Cruise for Cancer foundation on behalf of Vandervest Harley-Davidson-Green Bay.

The bike was set up at a few Packer games where fans enjoyed a photo op while buying tickets.   John Edwards purchased his ticket while in Green Bay at a game and is already a Harley Enthusiast.

The Harley-Davidson Motor Company, Milwaukee, held a contest against dealerships to customize a Sportster.  Vandervest Harley-Davidson chose the idea of creating a Packer themed Harley.

Vandervest Harley-Davidson’s technicians, along with owners Rick and Erik Vandervest, went to work designing the Harley.    Listed is the ideas of the Vandervest Team:  A partial Packer helmet with facemask was fabricated to fit in place of a windshield, a mock Lombardi trophy was welded to a customized backrest, a referee striped side bag with flag and whistle, custom fuel tank had a light by Gator Glass which showed the Harley-Davidson logo and read Leader of the Pack which could flash on and off with a remote,  a custom stereo that plays Packer game day songs, the air cleaner was fabricated to look like cheese,  the back fender was painted to show football field yard lines, custom pipes, the seat was made by Visions Upholstery  to look like a football, Vintage Works powder coated the frame and other parts green and gold.

4th Place – Weekend Harley-Davidson Rental – Kay Kozlowski, New Franken
5th Place – Riding Academy Class – John Morgeson, Minnesota
