For 2023, the Howard-Suamico Optimist Club will be awarding two scholarships of $1,000 each to graduating seniors of Bay Port High School, who reside in the Howard-Suamico School District. Scholarship applications are available from a Bay Port High School counselor. Completed scholarship applications are to be submitted to a Bay Port counselor by April 25th. The Village of Howard has secured its second naming rights donation for the Howard Commons public space. The Roger and Star Kimps Family Foundation has agreed to donate $1 million to support the project. UScellular and the Green Bay Packers announced the winner of a $20,000 technology makeover through the inaugural Leap for Learning program. The Howard-Suamico Lions have participated with another accessibility ramp project. This project located in Bellevue was a collaborative effort with the Howard-Suamico Lions building the ramp and then receiving help with the installation from Bellevue Lions and an Ashwaubenon Lions member.
