Each year the Howard-Suamico Historical Society gives a Bay Port senior, who will be attending college, a $1000.00 scholarship. Part of the application process includes an essay written by the applicant on the history of Howard and/or Suamico. Each year the topic is chosen by the Howard-Suamico Historical Society Scholarship Committee. This is the 17th year the society is offering the scholarship and the topic is The Early History of Suamico. The Howard-Suamico Historical Society looks for Bay Port seniors that submit an essay, well written, researched and detailed with pictures, concerning the chosen subject.
