As you drive down Riverside Drive in Historic Downtown Suamico, you can’t help but notice a building with oversized barn doors and brightly colored planters, a building with so much character that it draws you right in. Welcome to design a la mode. Now in their third location in the area and celebrating 13 years in business, they invite you to their Anniversary Sale Event.
Design a la mode opened their doors in Vickery Village in 2006. By 2012, business was at a steady increase and allowed for a new location to be built across the street from Chives. “We didn’t want to leave our home but needed more space. We have been so blessed with a community who sees the value in our business and the love of shopping local,” says Sheri Worth, owner. Now, seven years later, they are in a new store triple the size, but still at “home” on Riverside Drive. The current store shares a parking lot with the former location, which is now Willow Clothing Company.
If you are in need of assistance with custom window treatments, bedding, furniture, re-upholstery, rugs, lighting, paint or wall covering, or just some inspiration, stop in and check out the warm, inviting, relaxed atmosphere. They carry a wide selection of fabrics for custom drapery, bedding, pillows and furniture. Also featured are some unique furniture pieces, some new, some repurposed and an eclectic mix of accessories and gifts.
The staff is ready and willing to discuss your home décor needs. Sheri, owner and interior designer, and Pauline, interior designer, are available by appointment for in-home assistance, as well as some light commercial design.
Design a la mode will be hosting an Anniversary Sale Event on Thursday, September 26, 2019 from 8:00am to 6:00 p.m. This is the one day per year that the entire store is on sale. “We want to give a big thank you to those who support us all year, and this is that day.” says Worth. “There is usually a line up at the door waiting for us to open, like Black Friday!” Her advice is to arrive early, wear a smile, and grab some great deals and a quick refreshment. And don’t forget to enter the prize drawing, too.
