EAGLE III recently celebrated 25 years of life-saving medical flights with its dedicated employees, including pilots, flight paramedics, flight nurses, ground support crews, administrative staff and their families.
EAGLE III performed its first patient flight on January 25th, 1999. The flight was from Bay Area Medical Center in Marinette to HSHS St. Vincent Ho spital in the program’s Bell 407 Aircraft. EAGLE III has since upgraded to an EC135 T2+ aircraft and has flown nearly 10,000 patients from medical facilities and accident scenes throughout the region.
The team was celebrated with an appreciation picnic, where staff and their families enjoyed time together. “We have an incredibly dedicated team, from the flight crew to the support staff,” said Shaun Stamnes, EAGLE III Air Medical Coordinator. “In their roles, they spend a lot of time helping others, and this is an opportunity for us to show our appreciation for them and their families.”
EAGLE III provides medical transport services to critically ill and injured patients via helicopter and ground ambulance.
Utilizing the latest medical technology, its highly skilled teams meet patients and their families with compassion and expert care.
EAGLE III would also like to recognize and thank the medical facilities and police, fire, and EMS agencies that have helped make this milestone possible.
