The 2018 Howard Farmers market promises to be bigger, better, and more exciting for attendees this season.
Thanks to an entertainment sponsorship from BayCare Clinic, weekly concerts from local musicians will take place under a big tent at the market. Performances will range from individual acts to the 12-piece band Brass Differential.
The Howard Farmers Market will run 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesdays from June 12th to September 25th, except July 3rd and September 4th. The market takes place in the Village Center, near the intersection of Howard Commons and Riverwood Lane. The BayCare Clinic Concert Series runs 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
Market Coordinator Kimberly Bergemann said the weekly music gigs are a valuable addition to the market, which features a variety of fresh fruits, vegetables, eggs, meat and other foods from local farmers and growers; homemade bath and body products; hand designed clothing; pet food and pet care products; handmade art and more. There also are a number of prepared food vendors and food trucks.
“The Howard Farmers Market is inclusive of all local and area businesses,” Bergemann said. “We are excited to have several returning vendors as well as many new ones.”
The market is still accepting vendors of locally grown, produced, created, and manufactured goods. For more information, contact Kimberly Bergemann at HowardFarmersMarket@gmail.com or check out the Howard Farmers Market facebook page or website at www.villageofhoward.com/384/Howard-Farmers-Market.
