The Howard-Suamico Historical Society will open the Ancestry Acres farm home and barn to visitors on Wednesday, September 16th, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Stop by and visit with Howard-Suamico Historical Society members and check out the barn restoration and the museum pieces in the home.
The granary is newly opened and has new interesting items on display. The farm is located at 12787 Velp Avenue in Suamico, just North of Chambers Hill. Parking is available on the property or at the Suamico Village Hall.
Ancestry Acres is handicap accessible. This is a free, family friendly venue and children are encouraged to attend.
On Thursday, October 1st, the Howard-Suamico Historical Society’s general meeting will be held in the barn at 12787 Velp Avenue. The guest speaker will be Mary Joann Rathburn who will be speaking on haying in the 1940’s.
As always, there will be a question and answer period and the general public is welcome. The barn is available to rent for parties, events, reunions, etc.
The Howard-Suamico Historical Society is looking for pictures of Tremble School and the students who attended.
