Wiener Wednesdays held in the parking lot of Josephine’s Pizza & Pastaria at 2560 Glendale Avenue in Howard, raised $250 in donations for the Humane Society.

The Humane Society matched the $250 raised, so $500 goes to the dogs.
Josephine’s daughter Angelina and friends, Aalliyah, Arianna, Vivianna and Gunner.

They started the hot dog sales on garage sale weekend and then did every Wednesday throughout the summer. On National Hot Dog Day, they sold 145 hot dogs, which was their record day.

The first Wednesday the Health Department hit them and they did good. They plan on doing it next summer and for the upcoming 2021 Howard-Suamico Christmas Parade.

The Wednesday Wiener Gang really had fun all summer and it was a little bit of hard work. They had Frank Marshall, the owner of Josephine’s to help them out. They had some music playing under the tent — all hot dog themed music of course. They had a terrific run of luck with no rain on any of their Wiener Wednesdays.

They sold Vienna Beef Chicago Style Hot Dogs. The group even stood on the corner of Cardinal Lane and Glendale Avenue dancing with signs in the hot dog suit to drum up business. They even lured in a fire truck near the Josephine’s Pizza and Pastaria restaurant. The Wiener Wednesday Gang would like to thank all of their customers for the donations for the dogs and profits for themselves.

The Wiener Wednesday Gang, Angelina, Aalliyah, Arianna, Vivianna and Gunner, who owns the hot dog suit, generated $500 for the humane society through the sale of hot dogs this past summer.
