The Giving Tree’s 15th Annual Back-to-School Event will take place Wednesday, August 9 from 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. at The Giving Tree located at 600 Cardinal Lane in Howard for approved families. Families in need may reach out to their school social worker if they are not currently registered with The Giving Tree. The Giving Tree is seeking donations in advance of this annual event.
School Supply Shopping List of Most Needed Items:
• Colored pencils
• Large glue sticks
• Single subject notebooks
• Composition notebooks
• Mechanical pencils
• Dry erase markers
• Washable classic colors – wide tip markers
• Loose leaf paper
• Fabric pencil cases
• Extra fine point permanent Sharpies
• Scissors
• Clear view binders (1” and 2”)
• Pencil boxes
• Crayons
• Earbuds
Please consider dropping off new school supplies at Green Bay Community Church located at 600 Cardinal Lane in Howard during business hours of Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m.to 4:30 p.m. and Sunday from 8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Donations can be left in shopping carts inside of the main entrance or by calling Angela at 920-593-3484 to arrange drop off.
Financial contributions can also be made there. These donations will allow The Giving Tree to purchase the items listed above for the Back-to-School Event.
It is support from the community, businesses, churches and organizations that help The Giving Tree fulfill its vision of an education without barriers.
