The Howard-Suamico School District and the Howard Suamico Business and Professional Association collaborated to host a Career Fair for Bay Port High School students on November 3, 2022. The goal of the Career Fair is to provide opportunities for students to network with local employers to learn about careers, qualifications, education/training, job opportunities, and the HSSD and HSBPA host Career Fair

At a weekly Howard-Suamico Optimist lunch meeting at 1951 West, the Howard-Suamico Optimist Club presented a check in the amount of $750.00 to Student and Family Engagement Coordinator, Kourtney Feldhausen to use for The Giving Tree — student assistance program & food pantry in the Howard-Suamico School District. This donation is being used to provide Howard-Suamico Optimists make donation to The Giving Tree

The 2022 “Hit the Trails” 5K Run 3K Walk organized by the Howard Suamico Optimist Club, was held this past September. The aim of this event was to raise money for NEW Zoo youth programs. On November 8, 2022, a check in the amount of $1,000 was presented to interim Zoo Director, Carmen Murach. Carmen Optimists support the NEW Zoo

The main event featured a brick & board breaking marathon. Students brought in pledges to break in the marathon. Money was also raised through silent auctions, a bake sale and 50/50 raffle. Students also collected 750 pounds of food for Paul’s Pantry. Master Penny Duggan said, “Our students learn about self-defense, community service and giving Kim’s Tae Kwon Do Center, Inc. raises $5,550 for Paul’s Pantry
