At the Bay Port Senior Awards Assembly on Friday, May 19th, the Howard-Suamico Business and Professional Association awarded $8,000 in scholarships.
The scholarships are funded through the association’s annual Red Carpet Runway Fashion Show. The HSBPA represents local businesses. Its mission is to promote “buying local” and offers community service activities in the villages of Howard and Suamico.
HSBPA awards technical college and 4-year college scholarships. Students are evaluated on leadership activities, extracurricular activities, community service, essay, letters of reference, and financial need.
