A check in the amount of $31,742 was presented to the Muscular Dystrophy Association for their Summer Camp for Kids. At the recent HSPBA Business Showcase the Howard-Suamico Lions Club held a naming contest for the Club’s newest Lion. Chelsea Xiang was the contest winner with “Lucky The Lion.” Chelsea won an Alive Baby Tiger. Congratulations, Chelsea, and a big “Thank You” from the Lions Club for your help.

The Howard-Suamico School District and its Board of Education recognized Howard-Suamico Business and Professional Association member Bob Strazishar at their October 22nd meeting. Strazishar was presented a resolution stating in part, “…for his service, dedication and commitment to connecting community resources to educational opportunities for the betterment of the school district and the Howard-Suamico communities”. HSSD recognizes Strazishar for community service

The Howard-Suamico Lions Club replaced a handicapped ramp for local resident, Toni DeBeck, who is wheelchair bound. The Lions have built several ramps for needy handicapped residents at their homes as one of the service activities the club undertakes. Participating Lions were Art Becker, John Myers, Bob DeBeck, Mark Minzlaff and Kevin Sellen.

Jim Knopf, sales and marketing manager for Servpro of East Brown County and Servpro of West Brown County, was announced as Greater Green Bay Chamber Ambassador of the Year. Knopf has been a Chamber ambassador for about three years, and is impassioned about creating networking opportunities and making business contacts. He participates in many ribbon Knopf announced as GGBC’s ‘Ambassador of the Year’
